It should be understood that only a small percentage of people suffer debilitating side effects, and in most cases the side effects can be controlled if they know in advance what to expect if they should they occur. Protease Inhibitors (PI)

All of these medications, with the possible exception of un-boosted Reyataz, can cause elevated lipid (fats) levels - higher than normal triglycerides and cholesterol; this is called hyper-lipidemia. They may also worsening or cause new cases of diabetes, cause loss of fat (lipoatrophy), and possible increased bleeding in hemophiliacs |
